Hurricane Sandy Emergency Response Project for Emergency Generator and Critical Power Support to Naval Weapons Station Earle, New Jersey

Meltech completed this project following Hurricane Sandy, to provide temporary generators and mission critical power to the main garrison at Naval Weapons Station, Earle, New Jersey.  The effort included providing mission critical power to the garrison and its family housing.  Meltech in-house electrical crews worked around the clock for 3 weeks getting mission critical power and family housing power restored while providing, servicing and maintaining 29 temporary generators of all sizes to keep base operations ongoing. Meltech received an outstanding performance rating and accommodations from NAVFAC for our service above and beyond outstanding performance for the response. Meltech was responsible for installing 4 – 100Kva, 6 – 50Kva and 19 – 30Kva generators on site as well as removal of the generators at the conclusion of the contract period. Meltech provided set-up, operation, maintenance and fuel for these generators during the contract period.
