We make sure to track trends in not only the construction industry but also in our region. Meltech considers many factors in our experienced professionals and administrative support positions final salary decisions such as costs of living, travel, job requirements and project location requirements. Our craft/trade positions are paid strictly by the Davis Bacon and given 100% of their fringe benefits. 

 Transportation
Meltech provides a competitive compensation package for new employees. Meltech management and supervisory positions are eligible for assignment of a company vehicle suited to position. Meltech management and field employee are also eligible for participation in the vehicle gas and mileage reimbursement program.

Project Management
Meltech recognizes the benefits of cross trained employees. Meltech encourages Project Management personnel who do not already possess appropriate safety and quality control training to partake in continuing education courses for these important activities. 

Meltech also supports qualified senior project management candidates through their Project Management Professionals (PMP) certification and training. 

Safety Training and Education
Meltech provides quarterly safety training seminars to ensure that our management and craft labor are trained and that our certifications are up to date. Meltech offers in-house OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification training and testing and CPR/First Aid training and certification. 

Quality Control Management
Meltech provides USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors Class (CQM-C) certification training to eligible employees. 

Apprenticeship Programs
Meltech is a general construction contractor that self-performs low, medium and high voltage electrical services. Meltech has an in-house electrical department that self-performs most of our electrical work on 80% of our contracts. In 2019, Meltech completed over $XXM in electrical work on stand-alone contracts. 

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for electricians is expected to grow by an impressive 20% through 2022, significantly exceeding the national average for all occupations. Electricians are ranked one of the highest paid positions on the Davis Bacon wage scale. Meltech electricians make top in their field taking home their fringe benefit wages as well. 

Meltech supports the “earn while you learn” approach by supporting candidates thru their continuing education to receive electrical apprentice and journeymen licenses. We have partnered with two local formal electrical apprenticeship training programs in the surrounding area registered to the Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship.  Meltech participates with electrical apprenticeship programs that meet all federal and state requirements for formal apprenticeship and prevailing wage work including employer-sponsored classroom instruction and on-the-job training. Upon successful completion, craft workers are recognized at the journey level in their trade and are awarded their apprenticeship certificate.
